Chanukah Dinner, December 2005 On December 9 at 6 pm, TUJ celebrated a Friday evening
Chanukah Sabbath dinner service. Over 100 shared the joys
of religious freedom and the miracle of faith over power.
Children and adults cooperatively created candle dedication
skits to pave pathways to peace. Rabbi Bruce Mark Cohen gave
a Torah message on: Chanukah, Vietnam & Iraq: An exit
strategy to bring U.S. troops home now and achieve victory
in Iraq.
Our Chanukah menorah was constructed by artist and member
Jim Gaynor out of found objects.

Each table had a lot of fun putting on impromptu skits to
dedicate the shamas (server candle) and eight Chanukah candles
to pave pathways to peace.
